Powerful Tools for Caregivers
Aging & CARE Services Family Caregivers Program is excited to offer a new evidence-based Caregiver Training Class series focus on helping caregivers take better care of themselves.
Powerful Tools for Caregivers is a class series designed to help family caregivers take better care of themselves while caring for a family member or friend. In the six weekly classes, caregivers develop a wealth of self-care tools to reduce personal stress; change negative self-talk; communicate their needs to family members and healthcare or service providers; communicate more effectively in challenging situations; recognize the messages in their emotions, deal with difficult feelings; and make tough caregiving decisions. Class participants also receive a copy of The Caregiver Helpbook, developed specifically for the class.
The six-week class will be offered every Wednesday starting on January 2, through February 6, 2019, from 12-1 pm @ Aging & CARE Office Located @ 417 E Fayette 6 floor in the Conference Room. Space is limited to a maximum of 10 people. Registration is base on first come bases so please register early to secure your spot. This is a free class for Baltimore City Residents.
