BALTIMORE, MD (July 15, 2019) With another heat wave brewing across the Baltimore region this week, and with the heat index forecasted to reach over 100 degrees Fahrenheit for several days, Baltimore City Health Commissioner Dr. Letitia Dzirasa has issued a Code Red Extreme Heat Alert for tomorrow, Tuesday, July 16^th through Sunday, July 21^st.   The heat index is a measure of air temperature and relative humidity and indicates how hot it feels to the human body. 

BALTIMORE, MD (July 11, 2019) 

The Baltimore City Health Department Office of Animal Control picked up a raccoon from Schenley Road in the Roland Park neighborhood on July 9^th that has tested positive for rabies. Anyone who came into contact with a raccoon near this location recently should contact the Office of Acute Communicable Disease at 410-396-4436 during business hours or 410-396-3100 afterhours.

BALTIMORE, MD (June 28, 2019) Due to prolonged heat in the Baltimore region and a heat index expected to reach 100 degrees Fahrenheit Saturday, Baltimore City Health Commissioner Dr. Letitia Dzirasa has issued a Code Red Extreme Heat Alert for tomorrow, Saturday, June 29.  The heat index is a measure of air temperature and relative humidity and indicates how hot it feels to the human body.  This is Baltimore City’s first Code Red Extreme Heat Alert of the season.
