1001 East Fayette Location Closed Today, Permits Office Open

BALTIMORE, MD (Tuesday, November 18, 2025) — The Baltimore City Health Department’s 1001 East Fayette Street, Baltimore MD 21202 location will be closed Tuesday, November 18, 2025. 

Baltimore City Health Department (BCHD) headquarters, located at 1001 E Fayette St, Baltimore, MD 21202, was closed for the day yesterday, due to HVAC repairs. The 1001 E Fayette Street location will remain closed for an additional day to ensure no other repairs are necessary, and the building is suitable for staff. Staff who work in the building are advised to continue with their alternative work schedule protocols.  

The BCHD Permits Office, located at 1001 E Fayette St, will open from the Eastern Health Clinic at 1200 East Fayette Street, Baltimore, MD 21202 on Tuesday, November 18,2025. Those who are seeking the Permits Office will be provided with services from 8:30 am – 3:30 pm from 1200 E Fayette Street’s lobby area. The BCHD Permits Office provides food licenses, waste hauler licenses, and applications for aquatic facilities (pools & spas) and tattoo establishments. Increase in Mpox Cases in Baltimore City; Risk to the General Public Remains Low

BALTIMORE, MD (Friday, November 28, 2025) — There has been a notable increase in mpox cases reported among Baltimore City residents. From January 1 through November 20, 2025, 24 cases have been reported in Baltimore City, with more than half occurring since September 1.
