August 31 is Overdose Awareness Day. Baltimore is planning a day of events for August 31 to raise awareness about overdose and prepare residents to identify and respond to an overdose.

Join us in the evening to commemorate our family, friends, and neighbors who have lost their lives.

Members of the Baltimore community will gather from 7-8pm in Druid Hill Park at the Sundial Pavilion for a commemoration of the lives we have lost to overdose and calls to action to reverse the tide of overdose deaths.

Hear from Health Commissioner Dr. Leana Wen and other leaders in the fight against opioid overdose and enjoy art displays and performances from the New Day Campaign.

We will illuminate 393 luminary bags in remembrance of those who lost their lives to overdose in Baltimore in 2015.
